Join OHLA!

Our membership year runs from January to December. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association is held each January at the Ontario Library Association Conference. The OHLA Membership benefits include:

  • OLA Super Conference reduced rate, which includes conference sessions for health libraries, special OHLA conference events and networking opportunities.
  • Annual Conference Bursaries to attend the OLA Super conference.
  • Member’s only listserv to assist with staying connected with colleagues, sharing resources, educational events and membership news.
  • Continuing Education online webinars are offered free or at discounted rates to our members.
  • Recognition of professional excellence through the OHLA member awards.
  • Leadership skill development is available to regular and student members who choose to serve as a member of the OHLA Executive.
  • A Members Only Toolbox of resources contains templates, best practice tools that may be adapted for use by our members.

Types of Membership:

  • Individual: Gives an individual membership for one calendar year
  • Combined OHLA/OLA Membership: Individual members may become Ontario Library Association members at a reduced fee.
  • Retired/Non-working
  • Student: Basic and Regular

Each member of an institution has the benefits of an Individual Membership with the following exception:   There is only one voting member per institution.  The person with voting rights must be identified at time of registration. Same benefits as an Individual Membership. Same benefits as an Individual Membership.

Note: Students also become OLA members with no extra charge.
